#EUVocationalSkills Workshop – The spider VET in the Net: WBL for the future

On the 12th of November at 16:00pm, during the European Vocational Skills Week 2020 the session ’’The spider VET in the Net: WBL for the future’’ will take place in cooperation with the Platform of European Associations of VET providers (VET4EU2).

This session will discuss work-based learning for young people in VET and adult learners in need of re- and upskilling. It will span from longer programmes to short formats as micro-credentials, and besides – not least through the challenges brought in by the Covid-19 crisis – goes vir(tu)al. With this workshop, the Platform of the European Associations of VET Providers (VET4EU2) will approach WBL as “The Spider VET in the Net” from different perspectives and will explore its possible future developments and challenges.

The session will also cover green skills, digitalisation in VET/WBL and microcredentials. It will be a mix of good practices and information on policy initiatives and the Director General for Employment in the European Commission and Head of Unit in charge of VET, apprenticeships and adult learning will intervene.

The workshop will take place in its entirety online.
